AWS Back-end Developer

Tax Term: W2/C2C/Own Corp Our well-known client in the Broadcast Television domainis looking for an AWS Back-end Developer to join their team for a fully remote 6+ month contract role with the potential of converting to contract-to-hire. Job Description: We are looking for developers that love creating Cloud native solutions. They need to have strong foundations in the fundamental building blocks of cloud computing as wellas professional experience with the specific tools of our chosen environments.Most of our work is in AWS, however, we do have some work in Azure and GCP and we expect to increase work in both Azure and GCP. What you'll be doing The ideal candidate would be a Back-end Developer with Python and Nodejsexperiencealong with an understanding of REST and an understanding of common architectural, design patterns, and modern best practices for Cloud-based systems. Hands-on experience with data streaming processing platforms is required. Requirements: 7+ years of professional programming experience – including Python and Nodejs Exposure to AWS base services and serverless features like S3, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, RDS, Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, Route 53 An understanding of creating and deploying Docker container images into hosting Environments like ECS and EKS. Understanding of/exposure to data streaming processing platforms: Kafka and Kinesis Basic AWS Security -An understanding and ability to create/write the appropriate AWS security policies, permissions, and roles for the most common use cases Infrastructure-As-Code (IaC) experience with tools like AWS CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform Apache Spark Nice to have (not required, but helpful) AWS Certification(s) Experience/Exposure: Elasticsearch, Apache Flink, RabbitMQ, GraphQL, ec2, Kubernetes, AWS Glue
