This BA will need to have some understanding of technical concepts within development, but will work primarily with SMEs at Global Atlantic and Business Analysts from the TPAs. Will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements. A challenge they currently have is GA going pre-emptively to the TPA before thoroughly gathering requirements from SMEs at GA, so looking for this BA to refine the process so they don't jump the gun. Their TPA does functional testing and sends back to GA, so this candidate will need to ensure accuracy and ensure they are getting the output needed.

Culturally they're look for a team player, go getter, someone who takes initiative and doesn't require hand holding. Of the 2 TPAs, they have a good relationship with one, and a challenge with the other (described as a vendor who "runs with scissors"). Need someone who can approach that relationship effectively and improve it. This is their biggest initiative right now, will go well into 2018. After that, they will have several other product updates, so likely this consultant could extend or convert to FTE.
